PresRep – or Presentation Repertory – is a five-week theater training program for boys and girls ages 12-17. PresRep offers introductory classes in various performing arts disciplines while building students’ team-building and cooperation skills. In addition to the courses, students will perform in and work on a full-scale musical production directed by our team of professional theater artists. This year’s mainstage musical is Disney's musical, My Son Pinocchio. This production offers hands-on opportunities for students to work on lighting, sets, costuming, and of course, performing.

PresRep offers ensemble coursework in Acting, Comedy Improvisation, Costume and Prop Fabrication, Vocal Technique, Dance, and Technical Theater. Each ensemble stays together throughout the day and attends one-hour classes each day for four weeks. This will provide each student with a balanced and well-rounded education in the various theater disciplines. The class descriptions are detailed below.

A typical day for a PresRep student will begin with a two-hour blocking and choreography rehearsal. This will be followed by a rotation of classes, and the day ends with a two-hour rehearsal.

Courses

PresRep offers courses in acting, improvisation, dance, and vocal technique, costume and prop fabrication, and technical theater.  This wide range of courses will help the students become well-rounded in all aspects of theater, both on and off the stage.
