Speech & Debate

This after-school program for all middle school students (6th, 7th & 8th grade) is intended to
introduce anyone interested in participating in the Speech and Debate activity in high school to the basics of effective communication. Students will listen to performances by members of the PHS team and participate in a variety of games designed to limit the fear of speaking.  Although Presentation is an all-girls school, high school speech and debate, as well as this middle-school program is co-ed. Separate sessions for experienced students are also available. This program is designed for students who are ready to start working on an event. 

Transportation must be provided by families.

French Camp

French Camp is intended to give young women in 6th, 7th and 8th grades an introduction to the French language and culture through songs and games.  Most of the content will be new to those who participated in past years.   Past participants are encouraged to participate. We will learn where French is spoken, how to greet someone, numbers from 0-100, the alphabet, how to order in a restaurant and names of common objects and activities.

January 16, 2013 - March 27, 2013
Note: French Camp will not be held February 20
Time: 3:40 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Room 31 at Presentation High School
Supplies Students will need a three ring binder with paper in it and a writing utensil.
Cost: French Camp is free to female students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades
