The admissions process at Presentation High School involves a few important steps and lots of fun. Check the school calendar for details on dates and times.

If your child is in sixth grade or younger…

Open House is a perfect starting point. This fun and informative event gives prospective students and their families an introduction to our school, a tour of the campus, and the opportunity to meet students, faculty and coaches. (October)

Parents of sixth-graders may also wish to attend High School Information Nights held at Catholic elementary schools throughout the Diocese of San Jose. (September-October)

If your child is in seventh grade…

Open House and High School Information Nights, held in the fall, are wonderful ways to learn more about Presentation High School.

But even better is Seventh Grade Day. During this special event, students are welcomed to campus with a dessert social, and then they attend two mini-classes while their parents take a campus tour. The afternoon ends with an assembly featuring entertainment and presentations about our student activities. Many Catholic elementary schools register their seventh graders as a group, but individuals may register as well. (March)

If your child is in eighth grade…

If you have not attended Open House or a High School Information Night, now is the time!

Eighth-graders are also invited to come spend a day at Presentation. Shadow Visits pair prospective students with a current freshman or sophomore, and the girls will attend class and eat lunch together. Shadow visits may be scheduled online or by calling the Admissions Office at (408) 264-1664, ext. 2443. (September-April)

An important part of the application process is the Placement Test, which is given to eighth-graders only. (January)

Be sure to check the calendar for important deadlines – applications are due in January, and deposits are due in March after acceptance letters have been mailed.
