Student Environmental Action Society

The Student Environmental Action Society promotes environmental awareness within the school and the community.
Students are encouraged to take action to help conserve the environment and its resources. Club members organize and participate in their own events, as well as events co-sponsored by other local schools.

Service

Members participate in environmental service around the Bay Area, including creek clean-ups, beach clean-ups, and tree and native flower plantings.

In addition, members plan an annual Earth Day celebration, produce slideshows and videos about environmental issues, fundraise for local environmental organizations, and are in the processes of starting a vegetable garden on campus to teach the community about where their food comes from.

Meetings

Club meetings are spent learning about the latest environmental issues, brainstorming ways to make the PHS community more aware of its impact on the environment, and creating eco-friendly projects to take home.
