Seniors, Elise Mullen and Sarah Shaw, named Positive Coaching Alliance Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship Finalists
SAN JOSE, CA - Pres seniors, Elise Mullen (‘21) and Sarah Shaw (‘21), were named PCA Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship Western Territory Finalists! Winners will be selected at the end of October.
PCA award scholarships are awarded to high school athletes, based on their positive approach as a Triple-Impact competitor. These values include personal improvement of oneself, teammates, and the game as a whole. Positivity is powerful.
Presentation Athletic Director, Kevin Saldivar, says they have persevered to help make Presentation Water Polo what it is today. Last school year, Elise and Sarah represented and led the team to their first-ever CCS (Central Coast Section) Championship victory in program history.
"Their leadership and dedication is not only felt in the pool but out of the pool as well. They are both leaders on campus and give back to the Presentation community; Elise helps to run our Panther Pride club and Sarah organized the first ever "Splash Out Cancer" match two seasons ago. We are truly proud of all they have accomplished and will accomplish in their senior year,” says Mr. Saldivar.
The Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a national non-profit organization with the mission of creating a positive, character-building youth sports environment that results in BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE.
