The Board of Directors are responsible for formulating policy consistent with the mission and vision of Presentation High School, fiduciary oversight, long-term sustainability and strategic planning, and legal compliance.

As a Board, we believe in Pres' vision of empowering young women to become fearless and faithful leaders. We are committed to protecting all students – past, present, and future.

 

Biographies

Dave Anderson,
Chair

 

Dave is the proud father of an alumna from the Class of 2012 and a San Jose native. He graduated from Santa Clara University in 1985 and is a partner at a national CPA firm. He has volunteered at various non-profit organizations in the Santa Clara Valley over the past 25+ years. At Presentation, he has been volunteering since 2008 by serving on the Parent Board and the Board of Trustees. Dave also helped coach Junior Varsity Golf at Presentation for seven seasons.

 

In his free time, Dave is an avid golfer who enjoys barbequing and watching sports with his wife and their three adult children.




Mimi Niemiller '77,
Vice Chair

 

Mimi attended Santa Clara University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Math & Computer Science, before she went to work in the tech industry. While working, she returned to SCU for an MBA and a master's degree in Liturgical Music. Mimi worked in high tech until April 2020 when she finished her career as an R&D Director at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. She currently works part-time at Sunnyvale Community Services.

Over the years, Mimi continued to support Presentation’s mission, most recently joining the Board of Trustees (2019-2020.) Mimi is also a liturgical musician at St. Christopher Church and a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence. In addition to spending time training her puppy, Mimi enjoys traveling and watching both San Francisco and San Jose Giants baseball.
 




Mari Alba

 

Mari is the mother of two Pres graduates, Monica '05 and Loreli '08. With a background in Human Resources, she has since retired and become an avid volunteer for various non-profits in different roles. Mari grew up in Mexico City and moved to Los Angeles with her husband where she finished her bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Southern California. Soon after, she moved to the Bay Area where she earned her MBA from San Jose State University.

Mari loves to spend time with family, read, travel, play fantasy football and support the San Francisco 49ers and the San Jose Sharks.
 




Greg Baker

 

Greg is a passionate proponent of the Catholic education system and Catholic social teaching. All four of his children are graduates of local Catholic high schools and his youngest daughter is a recent graduate of Pres. He is a professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University where he is Executive Director of the Center for Food Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

In his spare time, Greg enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, travel and photography.

 




Laura DiPalermo '99 Doyle

Laura graduated from Presentation High School with the Class of 1999 and now serves others in her role as a lecturer in the Civil, Environmental & Sustainable Engineering Department at Santa Clara University. Laura focuses on using teaching methods that increase diversity in engineering and brings those skills to her role on the Board of Directors. Laura and her students also use their skills to help the broader community by using technological projects to increase access to basic human needs around the world.

Laura has two daughters and the Doyle family can be found exploring waterways of the Bay Area on paddle boards, boogie boards and swimming.




Silvana Gentzkow

 

Silvana is a San Jose native who grew up in the Rose Garden neighborhood and attended St. Clare Elementary and St. Francis High School. It was that Catholic foundation that compelled Silvana and her husband, Joe (Bellarmine '01), to become advocates in supporting local Catholic schools. They have four children who attend St. Christopher School. Silvana is active in St. Christopher’s community, most recently serving as the Ladies’ Guild President. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of San Jose.

In addition to her family, one of Silvana’s passions is education!  She has served as an instructional coach for seven years at Rocketship Charter Schools. She is excited to join the Pres board to bring her unique ideas about how to ensure Presentation continues to be the best place for a young woman to come into her own. 




Michelle Hansen

 

Michelle came to know Pres through her daughter, Claire, who graduated with the Class of 2010. Michelle graduated from Santa Clara University in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in Economics and has more recently been involved as a tutor at Sacred Heart Nativity Schools. She is also an active member at Holy Spirit Church in several ministry positions and has served on numerous volunteer committees at Presentation, Lincoln and Bellarmine High Schools.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys swimming, hiking, traveling and reading. She also started reaching new heights in 2012, when she fulfilled a lifelong dream and earned her private pilot license. 
 




Fr. Enrico Hernandez

 

Father Enrico has been active in Catholic education for more than 25 years as a teacher, chaplain, Chief Financial Officer, Board member and university professor. Father Enrico’s ministry focuses on ensuring that Catholic schools are financially viable and sustainable, while at the same time remaining true to their mission. In his ministry, Father Enrico collaborates with religious communities, school boards and school leadership to help collaborate and ensure they exercise their fiduciary responsibilities.

Father Enrico enjoys traveling and learning French. He is also an avid fan of college football.




Suzanne Sawochka '84 Hooper

A Pres alumni (‘84), Suzanne is an experienced executive and Board member with more than 25 years of corporate leadership and sophisticated legal experience. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of NGM Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., where she serves as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee and Chair of its Compensation Committee.  Suzanne served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc from 2012 to 2019. Previously, Suzanne was a partner in the Cooley LLP law firm, where she practiced corporate and securities law from 1996 to 2012. 

Suzanne looks forward to contributing her business, governance and legal expertise as Pres plans for its future. Suzanne enjoys running, the beach in Santa Barbara and travel anywhere.




Dawn Guerreiro '90 McCale

Dawn has been involved with Pres the majority of her life and grew up just down the street on Plummer Avenue. She graduated from Pres in 1990 and is the proud mother of Alli, who graduated from Pres in 2018 and Chris, who attends Bellarmine.

Most recently a member of the Mission & Catholic Identity committee, Dawn enjoys participating in Pres activities and planning. She is most excited to help the Board of Directors take Pres into the next evolution of faith-based education. Dawn likes hiking, concerts, audiobooks, stand-up paddle boarding and floating in the pool.




Steve Morgan

 

Steve is the father of a Pres graduate, Nicole '18, and has more than 25 years of experience as a senior financial executive responsible for managing all aspects of finance, legal and human resources for private and publicly held companies.

Steve has built businesses from the ground up, as well as joined existing companies where he has helped scale them to the next level. He was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended St. Christopher School, Bellarmine College Prep and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  He has a long history of volunteering at both St. Christopher and Bellarmine, as well as serving at Presentation on the Board of Trustees and through other fundraising programs.


In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his two children, his wife and extended family, as well as golfing with his Dad.




Paula Myers

 

Paula is the mother of a Pres graduate, Carson '17, and a graduate of Santa Clara University. She started her career with Deloitte where she earned her CPA. She went on to work at Hewlett Packard as a finance controller. 

When her children were in elementary school, Paula was fortunate to be able to stay home full-time. During her time at home, she volunteered and served on PTAs as President and Treasurer. Now with her children in college, Paula serves on non-profit and school boards, and works part-time in Finance. 

 




Dr. Kimberly Pitts-Davis

 

Dr. Kimberly Pitts-Davis is the proud parent of two Pres graduates, Danielle '14 and Lauren '18, who both went on to attend Santa Clara University. Firm believers in the importance of an all-girls learning environment, Kim and her husband, Tony, have been active members of the Parent Board over the years and also supported the Annual Drive, Student-Parent Directory, TADA, Presentation’s award-winning Dance Team, Fashion Show and Auction. The Davis family has enjoyed the lasting friendships they’ve made after hosting French exchange students for four years.
 

Kim is a Leland High School grad who went on to graduate from Fisk University and UCLA Medical School. She was Chief Resident at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles before returning to San Jose to start her practice. Kim is a pediatrician at RAMBLC Pediatric Medical Group, working with children from birth through early adulthood.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and her bookclub of more than 20 years called, "The Sisters of the Yam."




Cara Pryor '02

 

Cara is a Pres alum, educator and design enthusiast who loves to problem-solve and plan. She likes to "geek out" on details and any opportunity to create systems and organize processes. As a former classroom teacher, Cara is excited to gain a new perspective about how a school operates and develop best practices to achieve our strategic goals at Pres.

When not collaborating with others, she likes to recharge her introvert batteries with yoga, a good book, or a creative project, which includes building dollhouses and other miniatures.
