Assessment of Inclusivity and Multiculturalism
As part of Presentation’s DEI Action Plan, the school has partnered with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) to use their Assessment of Inclusivity and Multiculturalism (AIM) to assess the ways the Pres community experiences a sense of belonging and inclusivity. The survey will be open from February 22, through Monday, March 8.
Presentation High School is committed to creating, maintaining, and nurturing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational environment, and we believe that each member of the Presentation community is responsible for advancing an understanding of and a respect for these values.
Our next step in fulfilling our DEI Action Plan is to make a formal assessment of our community and use the results to amplify our Presentation mission of fulfilling a vision of life found in the Gospels.
Some helpful notes to keep in mind as you complete the AIM:
-
The survey is administered by the NAIS and your responses are anonymous, secure, and confidential and sent directly to the NAIS.
-
On the survey, you will be asked to indicate your different affiliations with Pres. Please only take the survey once.
-
It should take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
-
Please note that this is a vetted tool used by the NAIS across all of the schools in their network, and some of the questions may not reflect the values, principles, or norms of Presentation
-
We do not have a "board of trustees" - please answer these questions with reference to our "Board of Directors"
Please complete the survey by Monday, March 8. We are hoping for 100% participation! Thank you for helping Presentation advance this important work.
For any questions, please contact Crystal Catalan, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
