A First Step into the Pres Experience
Inspiring Middle School Students to Dream Big, Lead Boldly, and Belong Fully

Panther Pathways is a free enrichment program for middle school students, designed to spark curiosity and introduce them to the vibrant community at Presentation High School. Through fun, hands-on workshops led by expert faculty, students explore passions in STEM, the arts, wellness, and more—all in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Whether you're exploring future high school options or simply want to try something new, Panther Pathways is a perfect first step into the Pres experience.

Winter Program Offerings

Eat. Play. Love: Wellness Workshop

Time: 3:30–5 p.m.

Program Leader: Carmen Pauls Wiens, Wellness Center Coordinator and Yvette Frojelin, School Counselor

Join us for a holistic program at the Pres Wellness Center, offering students personalized practices in mindfulness, healthy eating, self-care, and community building. Through hands-on activities like yoga, gardening, cooking, and creative projects, students will cultivate health, joy, and peace. The program includes community-building icebreakers, sessions on mental health, and opportunities to meet wellness center interns and therapy dogs, making wellness an engaging and interactive experience.

Each themed session—find your voice, find your balance, find your people, and bring change to mind, provides unique activities and learning experiences. From meditation and healthy snack preparation to role-playing and designing wellness projects, students will explore the connections between physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Inventor's Inc.: 3D Magic & Soldering Lab

Unlock your creativity and explore the exciting world of engineering in our hands-on class designed just for middle schoolers! This beginner-friendly course introduces the basics of 3D printing and soldering, two essential skills in modern technology.

You'll learn how to design and print your own 3D models, bringing your imagination to life layer by layer. Then, dive into the world of electronics as you master the art of soldering, a key technique used to build and repair circuits.

By the end of this class, you’ll have your own custom creations and a toolkit of skills that can launch you into future engineering adventures! Whether you're a budding inventor or just curious about how things work, this class is the perfect place to start. Join us and build, create, and innovate!

Ritmo y Cultura: Music Across the Spanish–Speaking World

Semester Offered: Winter

Time: 3:30–5 pm

Program Leader: Natalie De Real, Spanish Teacher

In this upbeat workshop, you’ll dive into the sounds of Spanish-speaking cultures—from the smooth grooves of salsa to the bold beats of reggaetón. Play music genre games, test your ear with fun audio clips, and get to know iconic instruments, artists, and styles. You’ll listen, read, and reflect as you explore how music connects to identity, geography, and culture—all while practicing your Spanish in creative ways. By the end, you’ll know which genre speaks to you… and why!

Stage Ready: Improv & Acting at Pres

Get ready to take the stage!

In this high-energy workshop, you’ll explore the exciting world of acting and improvisation. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just curious about trying something new, you’ll learn how to embody different characters, think on your feet, and bring scenes to life — no script required! Each session is filled with fun games, creative challenges, and lots of laughter. We’ll wrap it all up with a final improvised performance where anything can happen!

Vocal Voyage: Navigate the Melodies of Music

Program Leader: Camille Cintas, Choir Director

Step into the spotlight with Lumina Voce—Presentation High School's premier choral training experience for aspiring singers! This unique workshop offers middle school students the chance to develop foundational vocal skills, including breathing techniques, vowel placement, and rhythm. Over five sessions, participants will prepare to join the Presentation High School Choirs in a memorable concert on April 16th.  Guided by expert conductor Ms. Cintas, choristers will gain confidence, build friendships, and experience the thrill of singing on stage with professional accompaniment.
