Playing in the rugged West Catholic Athletic League, a sophomore keeper would figure to allow her share of goals. But that was not the case with Presentation's Lauren Zontos, who posted eight clean sheets, being named the WCAL co-Player of the Year in the process. Click here to read the full article.
It's a great day to be a Panther!
Nearly half of all Presentation students participate in our athletics program, which has a rich tradition of excellence in the competitive West Catholic Athletic League. The Panthers have collected numerous WCAL and Central Coast Section championships. Presentation's exceptional program has produced Olympians, college stars and top-notch professional coaches. We are proud to be part of this school's dedication to teaching young women about leadership, initiative, self-discipline and teamwork.
The Presentation Panthers competed at the 52nd Annual Arcadia Invitational this past weekend and did not disappoint! Numerous nation leading marks and one national record were posted as 730 teams from 31 states as well as Canada, Norway, and Mexico competed in the two-day affair.
Senior, Isabella Grant sets a new personal record in the Girls Invitational Pole Vault and Junior, Gianna Mendoza finishes third in the GIrls 3200M Rated Section 2 race, and Senior Jaya Krishnan was Presentation's lone competitor in the Girls Open Pole Vault as she finished ninth.
Congratulations to Senior Bella Grant who won the K-Bell Classic in the pole vault with a jump of 12-6! Bella is committed to UCLA for track and field.

The Presentation Panthers completed their season at the 32nd Annual California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Meet at Woodward Park in Fresno, CA. Coming off of a narrow third place finish at the Central Coast Section (CCS) Finals, the Panthers competed in arguably the toughest division of the meet (Division II) with six of the Top-10 ranked teams in the state (including 1 nationally ranked team) toeing the starting line.
Over the weekend our volleyball team traveled down to Santiago Canyon College in Orange, CA to take on Ontario Christian in the CIF Division III State Championship. Our Panthers were looking to win back-to-back CIF Championships for the first time in school history. The first set went to the Panthers 25-21 but Ontario Christian fought hard and defeated the Panthers in 4 sets. Our Panthers finish the season strong and are one of the top 12 volleyball teams in the state of CA!! Great season Panthers!
After two weeks of smoke, the Presentation Panthers XC team finally had their chance to compete at Central Coast Section Finals and they made the most of it by finishing third, just 1 point behind second place Willow Glen, claiming the final qualifying spot to the California Interscholastic Federation State Meet in Division II. This marks the first time since 1992 that the Panthers will make back-to-back team appearances at the CIF State Meet.
Just how close was the race? At the halfway point of the race, the team scores for the top six teams were: St. Francis 83, Lynbrook 95, Leland 120, Presentation 128, Willow Glen 131, and Woodside 134. Using a strong and consistent second half of the race, the Panthers moved up through the field to secure the final spot to the Big Show in Fresno showing great poise.
Junior Gianna Mendoza led the Panthers with her second place overall finish to claim individual honors and the third fastest time of the day. Sophomore Zoe Hartfield moved past four individuals in the second half to finish as the second Panther and 17thoverall in the race while Junior Hadley Dixon-Berger (competing in her first CCS Final) passed 8 runners in the second half to finish 34thoverall. Seniors Alexandra Lazar (35th), Bianca Mantovani (37th), Audrey James (43rd), and Gabriella Escobar (46th) would round out the Panthers' remaining competitors.
The Panthers race next on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Woodward Park in Fresno, CA. Come out and support them if you can.
