January 8th, 2021 -- Parent Updates

We continue to be grounded in educating students toward Presentation’s graduation outcomes while prioritizing our community’s health and safety.  As we begin the spring semester, our faculty and staff reflected on this interview from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) about how to support students in the midst of the pandemic. "If educators right now are thinking, how do we prevent learning loss, how do we have kids catch up on their mathematics, all of those kinds of things, if children’s brains are not open and receptive, it’s not going to work. We have to prioritize well-being and wellness. We have to prioritize relationships. And then we’ll have a cognitive apparatus that’s working." (ISTE) With this in mind, students and faculty spent this week renewing, reconnecting, and recharging for the spring semester.  Teachers also participated in 3 days of professional development preparing for their courses and to support of students in the new year.

Regulatory Update:  Santa Clara County is currently under a Regional Stay at Home Order. Our campus access is limited until 1/19 to ensure best practices in quarantining for those in our community who traveled over the Christmas break.
