Clubs, Affinity Groups and Programs

The Anime and Manga Club meets monthly to learn about this exciting genre of animation! Club meetings will include presentations of various art and styles, character archetypes, themes and plots, and introductions to the Japanese culture that takes place in the animations.

The Big-Little Sister program places new students into groups led by an upper-class student who will help them adjust to high school life. To learn more, click here.

The Book Club aims to introduce students to the benefits of reading while exploring different genres and discovering new books.

Bring Change 2 Mind’s high school program gives teens a platform to share their voices and to raise awareness around mental health. Our goal is to empower students to educate one another and their communities, and to create a culture of peer support within their schools. We Dine Together aims to provide a proactive solution to one of the leading top-five safety, health and social issues.  In this club members are committed to reaching out to others who find themselves alone at lunch or needing a place to go, inviting them to be seen, heard, and valued as individuals and members of the Presentation community.  https://www.wedinetogether.org/

The Finance and Entrepreneurship Club provides an academic, professional environment within Presentation for students to foster knowledge in marketing, entrepreneurship, hospitality and tourism, business administration, and finance.  For more information, click here.

The purpose of this club is to improve and develop strategic skills and memory. Chess, being a sport that is predominantly run by men, a chess club is most needed in an all-girl school to encourage more females to learn about the game.

In keeping with the Presentation motto, "Not Words, But Deeds," the Community Involvement Club at Presentation coordinates service opportunities and raises awareness of social justice issues. To learn more, click here.

The Desi Student Association (DSA) affinity group promotes and celebrates Desi culture and traditions on Presentation’s campus as well as builds a community for South Asians (i.e. Indians, Pakistanis, Nepalis, Bhutanese descent, Bangladeshis, Maldivians, and Sri Lankan), and other students from different ethnic backgrounds to come together. This unique affinity group allows students to explore a new culture through discussions, celebrations of Indian festivals, Bollywood movie nights, engagement in the Presentation community, events with other schools, leadership opportunities, and much more. 

Film Club is dedicated to educating girls about jobs in the film industry, gaining a wider knowledge of movies, and promoting more women to participate in film.  Our goal is to cultivate creativity, advocate for women’s representation in film, and give the women of Presentation an appreciation for a wider genre of films. 

The Presentation Folklórico affinity group provides an opportunity for all Latinas and non-Latinas to express themselves freely through dancing. Through this group, students will learn the history of folklórico, learn various dances, and perform! No experience is needed to join Presentation Folklórico, all are encouraged to join. 

Gaming Corner is a club that gives students the opportunity to learn about and express their interest and passion for video games. It is a club open to everyone and has no skill or knowledge requirement. Our goal is to create a great place to hang out with friends and create bonds while playing video games. This club gives students a place to gather and play video games.

Girls Who Code allows students the opportunity to create games and apps by learning coding languages such as Scratch and Javascript. To learn more, click here.

Presentation’s Indian Dance Team named “Jazba” is an after-school activity that
provides opportunities to learn not just dance, but also creative thinking, time management,
leadership, and team collaboration. Jazba allows students to be immersed and learn more
about the South Asian culture. Through different types of dance forms (Bollywood, Bhangra,
western, folk, classical, and traditional dance), members can actively be involved in all levels
of production. Members can expect to practice twice a week (once on a weekday and once on
a weekend), and will perform with other high school students in shows and competitions all

The Presentation LatinX Club is an affinity group that is dedicated to unite and empower Latina students and allies. The LatinX group accepts and welcomes members from any ethnic background and culture. The vision of the LatinX club is to provide an opportunity for students to learn about LatinX history and Latin heritage will be celebrated through cultural events within the school and with joint events with other schools.

Open to all students, the Leadership Academy offers 10 workshops designed to teach core leadership skills including goal-setting, mission development, project management and team-building. To learn more, click here.

The LGBTQ+ & Allies affinity group allows students to explore and express themselves, build community, celebrate one another, and learn about and how to support one another within the community. It is open to everyone: those who are LGBTQ+, questioning, or allies. The club is committed to highlighting marginalized voices to allow for the dismantling of cisheteronormativity, homophobia, transphobia, and misinformation within society.

Math and Science Academy is a unique type of honors society, in which students are acknowledged and attain membership  based on their commitment and dedication of time to our Presentation Math and Science related extracurricular and curricular STEM activities. Students earn membership points for their involvement in a large number of Math and Science related programs such as Robotics, Mu Alpha Theta, Math and Science Independent Research, Panthers Exploring Medicine, Girls Who Code, Science Bowl team, Women in STEM Careers and more. Students can also earn points for hours spent participating in our peer tutoring program as a peer tutor for Math and Science related subjects, as well as for attending Math and Science Colloquiums and taking on campus optional Math contests. At the end of each Semester students complete an application form in which they provide their documented participation information. 

Membership is divided into 4 levels,  Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Platinum membership is only attained after earning 25 points throughout the Semester as well as being enrolled in an AP level Math or Science course.  Platinum members are invited to represent Presentation and participate in opportunities or events outside of school, such as the ‘Pave It Forward’ luncheon sponsored by the Tech Museum, and corporate events sponsored by companies such as CISCO, Genentech and others. At the end of the year, members are awarded certificates at the Bronze Level, and certificates and pins at the Silver and Gold Levels and at the Platinum level certificates and a medal.  To learn more, click here.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the biggest club organization in the US established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
The four pillars of NHS are to encourage academic achievement, promote community service,

Presentation First Light club is an affinity group that is dedicated unite and empower first-gen identifying students in their journey toward higher education. Through fostering a sense of belonging, providing resources, and promoting personal and academic growth, our affinity group aims to break down barriers and celebrate the achievements of those who are paving the way for future generations.

This program trains and provides peer tutors for students who need extra help in a subject. Any student with a minimum A- average in a subject area is eligible to tutor in that subject, and may earn volunteering hours for doing so.

The Red Cross Club strives to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.​ Through this club, we hope to promote students’ passion for widespread healthcare, analyze how the organization deals with national and international crises, and instill a strong sense of humanitarian justice and respect. We aspire to bring people together and enlighten others about human safety and emergency preparedness.

The Student Environmental Action Society promotes environmental awareness within the school and the community and encourages conservation of the environment and its resources.

This club is designed to inspire and motivate students about the importance of fashion, embracing personal styles, and engaging in sustainable fashion practices. Our mission is to introduce club members to the world of fashion and spread awareness about issues like body positivity and fast fashion. We want to give opportunities to aspiring fashion designers, writers, stylists, models, etc. by giving them a platform to explore new aesthetics and practice their passion.
 

Women in STEM careers(WISC) furthers Presentation students' passion for STEM through internships, research opportunities, participation in the National Science Bowl, and actively being involved in STEM-related service projects throughout the year. This club enhances skills like leadership and commitment, while allowing students to live out Presentation’s motto, “Not Words but Deeds”, in the science community.
