Office of the President

Holly Elkins

Holly Elkins is a passionate, visionary and principled Catholic School educator who is focused on holistic student success and the sustainability and accessibility of Catholic education.

A grateful beneficiary of Catholic education, Holly graduated from Saint Francis High School and attended Villanova University for her undergraduate studies before attending the University of San Francisco where she earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology, and a pupil personnel services credential. The experience of learning from a wide variety of teaching orders -- the Holy Cross Brothers, Augustinians and Jesuits -- was central to her formation as a Catholic educator, forging a special appreciation for how the unique charisms interact with the Church’s shared values and identity. She draws from these personal experiences in her work to help provide exceptional and inspiring programs that are mission-based and promote the spiritual, intellectual and social-emotional development of every student within her school community.

Most recently Holly served as the Executive Director of Advancement at Saint Francis High School where she was responsible for overseeing the school’s fundraising, strategic marketing and community engagement efforts. Holly has also been deeply involved in the school’s strategic planning, campus master planning, and capital campaign fundraising efforts.

Holly started her career as an educator in 2001 when she joined Saint Francis High School as a guidance and college counselor; this is where she developed her love for supporting the long-term development of students in partnership with their parents. During her 18-year tenure, Holly served in a wide variety of administrative roles, including designing and running the academic summer programs, serving as the assistant director of admissions, director of communications and director of institutional advancement.

Holly grew up in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose and continues to reside there with her husband, David, and their two children, Jack (12) and Millie (8), and their two cats. Their family is involved in the community and at St. Christopher’s where both children attend the parish school.
