What is Non-Tuition Assistance?

At Presentation High School, we are committed to ensuring that every student has access to a full and enriching educational experience. In addition to tuition assistance, we offer non-tuition assistance to help families with essential school-related expenses.

Families who qualify for tuition assistance from Presentation may also receive support for:

One PHS Service and Immersion trip
Changemakers course (Ignatian family teach-in)
Co-curricular participation fees and related tournament/travel fees (i.e. athletics, dance, choir, theater, robotics, and speech & debate)
Required co-curricular uniforms as approved by Program Director (does not include personal equipment and attire)
Required textbooks
School lunches
Morning bus service

Eligibility for Non-Tuition Assistance

Non-tuition assistance is available only to families currently receiving tuition assistance. See below for the types of support offered and how to apply.

Here is an overview of non-tuition assistance available through the school and how to request support for eligible expenses.

Lunch Support

Families receiving more than 50% tuition assistance are eligible for lunch assistance. Based on the level of your assistance, we will provide lunch support in the amount of $4 - $6 per school day. Pres will fund your student’s MySchoolBucks account at the start of each semester. Families can learn more about how to set up their MySchoolBucks account here.

To ensure funds are available for the first day of School, please submit your request by August 1.

Textbook Support

All families receiving tuition assistance are eligible for textbook support. Families must purchase textbooks first, and then request a refund.

Step 1: Order Your Books

Step 2: Request Your Textbook Refund

Refund amounts will be calculated based on the level of assistance received for tuition:

Families receiving less than 51% tuition assistance: 10% refund.
Families receiving 51%–75% tuition assistance: 50% refund.
Families receiving more than 75% tuition assistance: 75% refund.

Please note that the single document you have to provide must include the following:

Student Name and ID
For each receipt:
- Name of bookstore
- Date of purchase
- Name of each textbook
- Cost of each textbook
- The total amount paid (including shipping and sales tax)

Programs & Activities

Non-Tuition Assistance with Qualified Programs and Activities

We want every student to fully participate in co-curricular programs, trips, and activities at Pres. However, we understand that fees and costs may create barriers to involvement. Students receiving tuition assistance may qualify for additional assistance in connection with:

Morning Bus Service

Families receiving tuition assistance are also eligible for support with our newly introduced morning bus service. The level of assistance provided will correspond to the same percentage as their tuition assistance.

If requests are received after July 25, 2025, assistance will only be applied to invoices issued after the families request has been approved.
