Dance Company

The Presentation Dance Company offers students the opportunity to participate in dance classes without affecting their daily school schedules. Classes are available starting in September and culminate in a recital in May. In the Dance Company class, dancers practice and learn advanced jazz, hip hop, modern, and ballet techniques while gaining experience in production, choreography, and performance. Classes meet weekly, and sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis. No prior dance experience is necessary, and these classes are open to students in grades 6 through 12.

Dance Classes

Dancers of all abilities are welcome to participate in our dance classes, which fulfill Visual and Performing Arts curriculum and graduation requirements. These classes provide comprehensive instruction in dance technique, along with the history, theory, and vocabulary of various styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and ballroom. Each semester culminates in a dance performance, allowing students to showcase their skills. Currently, Presentation offers four levels of dance classes: Dance I, Dance II, Dance III, and Dance IV, with each class structured as a semester-long course.

Jazba

Presentation’s South Asian Dance Team named “Jazba” is an after-school, co-curricular activity that provides opportunities for students to learn a variety of South Asian dance styles and perform them across the Bay Area at numerous high school showcases. The team builds skills for creative thinking, time management, leadership, and team collaboration while forming a welcoming community for students to share their ethnic backgrounds and traditions.
