The mission of the Presentation Music Program is to provide well-rounded music education to musicians of all backgrounds. Pres Music will inspire students to discover their musical identity, participate in communal music making, and become musical leaders in their homes, schools, and communities.

The Pres Music Program offers a variety of performing  ensembles, academic classes, workshops and student organizations for young, aspiring musicians. You belong here at Pres!

Performances occur in San Jose, Fremont, Milpitas, Dublin, Pleasanton, and at UC Berkeley.

Voice and Music Theory I/II

In Voice and Music Theory 1 & 2, students develop as musicians through vocal technique, solfège, rhythm, and music theory. Combining group voice lessons, music history, and solo repertoire, the course uses singing, games, and movement to bring musical concepts to life. Open to all skill levels, this class helps students deepen their understanding and appreciation of music.

Beginning Choir I/II (Cantabile)

Cantabile is Pres’s non-auditioned after-school choir. Open to all, it builds vocal skills through diverse repertoire and collaborations with other ensembles. This yearlong performing group offers travel, festivals, and bonding events. A participation fee applies, and freshmen are encouraged to join.

Advanced Choir I/II (Bella Voce)

Bella Voce is Pres’s auditioned choral ensemble, performing at top festivals and events. This yearlong commitment includes a mandatory summer camp and a participation fee. Choristers are expected to have basic music knowledge, including sight singing and solfege.

Advanced String I/II (String Ensemble)

String Ensemble is open to violin, viola, cello, and bass players looking to grow their musical skills and perform on and off campus. Students will rehearse selected repertoire while building ear training, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory skills. Prior experience required. A small participation fee applies.

tri m honors

Tri-M Honors Society

Tri-M Music Honor Society is a student-led group dedicated to music advocacy and service. Members plan projects benefiting Pres and the San Jose community, with leadership opportunities available. Recognition includes certificates, pins, and graduation memorabilia.
