Theater

Presentation High School offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to get involved in theater, on stage and off.

Three full-scale productions are performed each year: a fall musical, a winter play and a spring musical. Students also have the opportunity to produce their own shows through the Presentation chapter of the International Thespian Society.

2026–2027 Season

Fall Musical 2026

9 to 5

Based on the seminal 1980 hit movie of the same title, 9 to 5 has music and lyrics by Dolly Paron and book by Patricia Resnick. It tells the story of three unlikely friends who conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do-- even in a man's world. Outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic, this musical is about teaming up and taking care of business.

Alice by Heart

A young girl takes refuge in a London Tube station during WWII and attempts to escape her reality with the help of her favorite book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. As the characters travel through the tale, Alice by Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This musical encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times. Auditions are open to all current Pres students and boys from other high schools!

Theater Tech

Work behind-the-scenes with Presentation Tech Crew!

Our students have the opportunity to learn about technical theater and be a part of our productions' technical crews. There are opportunities in props, hair and makeup, costumes, sets, lighting, and sound. Students can take a leadership role as stage manager or crew head and work backstage as part of a team ensuring that the design elements run smoothly.
