The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

An eclectic group of mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. All spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

Auditions are open to all current Pres students and boys from other high schools! 

Auditions: February 9-11
Performances: April 23-25

Student-Led Shows

Join us for two student-led productions during the winter season! Members of our International Thespian Society (ITS) troupe will be producing shows in January and February. Previous student-led projects have included: musical theater reviews (Snip-ITS), sketch comedy shows, original works, and one acts. Project proposals will be accepted and reviewed in August/September and the content of the shows will be announced before auditions in November.

You don’t have to be an ITS member to participate. Auditions are open to all current Pres students and boys from other high schools!

Auditions (both productions): November 17-19 

Performances: 

• January Show: January 16-17
• February Show: February 6-7

Disney's The Little Mermaid

Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.

Our fall production is a no-cut show. As long as they meet the required academic, behavioral, and time-commitment requirements, any Pres student or boy from another high school who auditions will be cast in a role!

Auditions: August 18-20
Performances: November 1-8
